Marie Perkins studied Graphic Design and Illustration before going into hand painted ceramics, and then later textile design.

In 2006 Marie created the blog ‘Print & Pattern’ and has since published a book of the same name.

It was this success and a love of greetings cards, stationery, and paper goods that led her to leave her full-time textile design job and take the plunge to go freelance under the name ‘inkjet designs’.

She loves bold pattern designs from the sixties and seventies, scandinavian design, british designers Cath Kidston and Orla Kiely, as well children’s illustrations & prints – so Marie likes to think all this comes out in her work.

Her favourite things to design are flowers, but she also loves to work on the seasons such as christmas and easter where you can have fun re-interperating traditional motifs and themes.

AREAS OF INTEREST I LOVE TO WORK ON INCLUDE – Greetings Cards, Wrapping Paper, Scrapbooking, Fabrics, Kitchen Designs, Children’s designs, Homewares, decor and Wall Art.
